Attendance note inconsistency

If a parent adds an attendance note that's inconsistent with their child's attendance for the day a warning should appear as sometimes parents add incorrect times/dates.
E.g: this student signed in at 9.02 and attended most of their classes but have an attendance note for the whole day (I'm assuming this was added after the student signed in).
Could the parent get an inconsistency warning when they try to submit the attendance note e.g. (student name) has been marked present for period * or (student name) has signed in at (time) which clashes with the attendance note. Please double the attendance note before continuing or please reach out to the school if you have any questions

I think it’s a case of having the date and time seperate. Parents choose the date then go down to the next date and don’t bother with times. They just think well it’s up, I put it on Compass. If it was seperate they may realise or have it so they can’t submit till the time is fixed. Then get rid of all the other times before 8.45 and 3.30 for example, they are also not needed.

J. Yes the amount of parents that have set e.g: 1am attendance notes instead of 1pm. Times outside of regular school hours are not necessary (only exception being camps and before or after school activities)

I posted a suggestion for staff to also receive a pop up on their roll as well if they mark a student 'present' if they have an attendance note. I feel this will really help attendance run smoothly rather than having to follow up with incorrect attendance notes or students being incorrectly marked present/not present
