Actually, it would be really helpful if that first step could be omitted entirely. Curerntly parents think that by clicking once on the 'Accept invitation' they have given consent, MOST do not even see they have to now give the actual consent. 'Awaiting consent' could also be construed as awaitting consent from the school. we have had so many events where we have had to call parents and ask for consent because the majority of students didn't have it, but the parents thought they had given it. Hope this makes sense. We now have to create a 'How to accept an event invitatoin on Compass' tutorial because so many parents still don't understand why their cild isn't marked as attending even though they accepted the invitation.
