It would also be really helpful to have a feature that allows rolls to be automatically generated based on the current teacher and the students in their classes, rather than only by year level or home group.

This would be particularly useful for schools where students are fast-tracking subjects or where classes include students from different year levels. For example, we have a number of combined Year 9 and 10 classes, which can make it difficult to generate an accurate roll based solely on year level or form group.

Having the option to generate a roll based on the teacher’s current class list would make the process much easier, more accurate and efficient.

I am surprised that this is not a built-in feature with Compass as having an emergency evacuation is one thing that needs 100% accurate reporting for student safety regardless of it being a drill or a real event.

Can we have a one press button that could create a copy of the current form classes for the day to allow the form teachers to mark and save this special emergency roll. Then based on student attendance for the day any student marked present during any lesson prior to the emergency list being created for the day but marked as missing from the emergency roll get flagged for admin to phone home to try and locate the child.

This would make evacuation procedures so much easier!

...and also a toggle to say whether it is a drill or not a drill - good to alert people & practice using everything without causing people unecessary stress.

For the text/compass app notification, can this have the option to customise who you notify from all users (staff, students and parents/carers) of the lockdown. Whilst there will be notifications onsite, this will assist with notifying those on excursions/off site.
