Still a very relevant limitation to Chronicle. We have had instances of many schools requesting this functionality. "A current limitation in Chronicle development is the inconsistent visibility of faculty entries. Compass can only notify and approve when a faculty member is selected. We would need a notify‑only option because the approval process prevents wider staff visibility until approval is provided."

Yes. We have chronicles with outstanding approvals due to this. Completely inappropriate for a teacher, student services staff or school officer to approve, but they need notification.

Strongly support this suggestion. Our schools would like specific staff included in Notification Chains, determined by Faculty/KLA Managers BUT NOT require them to give approval. The current settings configuration does not allow this, despite indicating it is possible.
Currently, if a staff member is set to 'Include in Chronicle' but NOT to 'Approve Chronicle', when selecting the Faculty/KLA in a Chronicle entry, they do not appear in the notification chain.

Chronicle templates that go to the Facility Manager are currently set to “approval and notification”; I want to add the option for “notification” only for the Facility Manager.
