We use a lunchtime group activity to supervise students who have been put in it via 1 of 3 possible chronicle entries; behaviour related detention, academic related detention, or simply because they need some additional learning support. We are a small enough school that the small number of students enrolled in a particular group activity session are all in the same room.
It is not at all obvious to a supervising teacher why the student is there. Having the chronicle template name that enrolled a student in a group activity would make that much simpler. The teacher can find that information with a few mouse clicks but it is time consuming.
This could be achieved by have three separate but concurrent group activities all in the same room but that would leave the supervising teacher with 3 rolls to mark. Maybe that isn't so bad for the teacher but it increases my workload by a factor of three when it comes to allocating teachers to the group activity supervision.
