It's a massive workload issue that when new students start at a school they don't get enrolled into learning tasks, but a lot of the other recommendations I've seen here are an all-in / all-out suggestion, which might not work for everyone.

This proposal aims to use another already functioning part of learning tasks to help determine the logic of if a newly enrolled student should be automatically included in a task or not: The learning task due date.

The system should automatically add a newly enrolled student to all Learning Tasks with a future due date, while skipping those with a past due date.

For example, if a student enrolls in Term 3 after the due dates for Term 1 and 2 assessment tasks and Semester 1 Reports have passed, the system should skip enrolling them in those past tasks. This logic should trigger only when a new student enrolls in a subject, and only for that student, rather than running as a daily process that might undo previous setup.

If a task does not have a set due date, students should not be added automatically, maintaining the current functionality.
