When enrolling a student, separated family situations can be particularly tricky to navigate. This is often identified during the transition from primary to secondary school, when it becomes apparent that parents or carers are no longer living together under the same roof.
When viewing a student’s Personal Information page, there is a Family and Relationships section. At the end of the home address, Compass displays wording such as “(Bob ALWAYS lives here)”. However, even when the information provided through CASES21 indicates that the student only lives at that address sometimes, Compass still displays the “ALWAYS lives here” wording.
This can be confusing and may not accurately reflect the student’s living arrangements, particularly in situations where the student spends time living between two households.

This also becomes confusing when calling a parent for sick bay needs. There should also be a do not call tick box so we actually know not to call that parent.
