Students bypassing Absent markings

Chris Russell
Students are currently signing into kiosks late after being marked absent and not attending class.
Teachers then need to check each absentee after the class ends to make sure the student didn't do this, which is not practical.
We are about to pull out all our kiosks and cancel our subscription to them.
That's 2 kiosks, and 4 Lites.

We have reports of students signing in late. They then have truanted a class and gone and signed in at the kiosk in another area of the school and it overrides the previous sign in and NP:U and indicates that they have just arrived.

Hi James and Megan
Thank you for raising this. We will investigate this further to make sure the kiosks are working as intended. I have created

This explains why I was so confused the other week after I was so sure I signed a student in late in the morning then I saw they had signed in in the afternoon. An error message should appear if students try to sign in twice (unless they've been signed out and are signing back in)

Signing in late on kiosk - not going to class

Students are signing in 'late' on the kiosk and not going to class.
Students at my school are only supposed to use the Kiosks to sign in P1 only. Some who have been at school all day 'sign in' say during P4 and then don't go to class.
Can we put a lock on the kiosk to prevent students from using it to sign in after a certain time? They can still use it to check classes but not to sign in
