Currently when enrolling a student using the Compass Enrolment module, parents are able to enter the student’s school history, including the student’s Early Childcare Information, which are 2 separate sections (one for school and one for early childcare). When the student is enrolled, this information syncs into People Management, however, there is currently no export that shows the Early Childhood information that is recorded for a student. Additionally, the early childhood information is required to be reported to the NSW Government for the Australian Early Development Census (AEDC) every three years. This requires the Early Childcare details to be collected and shared with the NSW government, including the name, type and commitment of the Early Childcare that each student has taken part in. All this data is being collected, but is unable to be extracted from its current location. Every three years, our schools move this data from the Early Childcare Information section, to the “School History” section, so that they can access the data collectively to complete this report. This data then creates inaccuracies as the Commitment is not accurately reflected and the data is then also mixed with actual school history data. Adding this information to the People Management API would allow the schools to access this data and report efficiently as required.
